Introduction to Wound Management

This course provides a mechanism to better understand the industry, the pathology of wound healing and associated core products.

The wound management industry is as diverse as it is challenging. Product solutions vary from simple dressings through to complex medical devices designed to promote healing. Further, the markets in which these products are utilised are varied, with customers ranging from surgeons and nurse specialists, through to procurement, retail, and supply managers. As someone new to the industry, the scope of the market and associated product solutions can seem daunting and knowing where to start challenging. 

This course has been designed by an industry expert to short cut the experiential learning process. It has been created for those seeking employment within the wound care industry, or for those in the first years of their wound care industry journey.

Meet the instructor

Geoff Duggan

Geoff has Undergraduate and Post-Graduate qualifications in Nursing, a MBA and 20 years' of clinical nursing experience. In addition, Geoff has worked for 15 years in the Wound Care industry working across community, hospital, & retail channels as well as in Business and Sales Management roles.

Geoff is now the Director of Clinical design Solutions, a Health Service Management Consultancy based in Perth, WA.
